New Gun Gallery: AK470 and M4X

Agents, we’re getting closer to the launch of the Onslaught expansion, and it’s going to come with two legendary receivers: The M4X and the AK470. Plus, get a look at Onslaught overall in our Onslaught teaser site!
You’ll be able to pick up these receivers in the marketplace when Onslaught launches. Until then, you can get temp versions of their premades in some of our partner sites’ giveaways, including one on GameSpot. In the meantime, feast your eyes on the badassery in this mini-gallery! Guys guys guys the m4x is GP available at level 15 and the AK is an award item (presumably chance pack oh god not again) all you have to do is zoom in on the pic and stop guessing

The only thing thatll make the guns OP is the build people put on them, any gun is OP when someone builds it there own way and really likes it and is good with it. but if you ether use the AK-470 or M4-X youll see they both have there downsides and you can make plently of mistakes (if you don't add anything custom to it) so that said these guns are necessarly OP what makes them OP is the people who use them

Seeing as how these Recievers are lying before the TSMG, I have a bad feeling that these will be available for anyone Lvl 16 and up.

In all honesty, those guns should be a level 27 reward since you hardly get anything useful at that level.

It's not that easy man, I've seen the various languages they use back in the day and it is tough to use 'simple' assembly language. This C and C# stuff is head over shoulders above that.

good point. why not just call it like they're supposed to be? It's probably OK with the AK, but just get permission from Colt for the M4x. Also... why are such old type recievers on a sci-fi-shooter? :/

The reason such receivers are still in the future is because it takes a long time to phase guns out of current service (the U.S. Marines have ONLY JUST stopped using the 1911, for example), and because said guns are still sufficiently lethal. As for naming the AK-470, they could easily have just gone with one of the newer iterations of the series, such as AK-107 or AK-118.

It's not sci-fi though. It's near future. They don't shoot lasers you know, you can have normal guns. Also they do say somewhere that these guns are relics.

It isn't traditional far-future science fiction, but it's still very definitely science fiction. MARS, assault Hardsuits and free-floating holographic sights that are all based off of real scientific breakthroughs but not actually around yet in real life show that.

Actually. this is not too far out future... not is it near future.. but still sci-fi. hardsuits can be a reality sooner than you'd think. The japanese already make diesel powered, armored exo suits. they're giant. and frickin awesome. but come with a hefty price tag of about 1,300,000 USD.

While it really bugs me that Zombie chose to go with the "just add a zero" trope for Russian-designed weapons and gear, the screenshot of the -470 in Customization gives me some small hope for the gun's naming conventions. "Remnant" sounds gritty and worn-in--I haven't seen another gun with as cool a name since I put my Jackal AR together.
