Hyper Reality Vision, or HRV for short, is one of the most important tools available in Blacklight Retribution. When activated, HRV gives the ability to see through walls to spot enemies, weapon depots, and important map locations. Being familiar with HRV is critical for mission success.

HRV is activated by hitting the "V" key. Deactivating it requires pressing the same key. When active, no weapons may be used - so take into account that when active, the user will be vulnerable. Additionally, HRV can only remain active for a limited time. Once HRV has been activated, the HRV charge meter must refill completely before it can be used again.

HRV is also an important tool in combatting Hardsuits. By looking at a Hardsuit with HRV active, a glowing orange region will be visible somewhere on the Hardsuits body. Shooting this weak point with regular weapons will deal significant bonus damage to the Hardsuit.
